Jennifer Lawrence is being eyed up for a starring role in a new war film from Steven Spielberg.
According to Deadline, Warner Bros is set to close a deal for Lynsey Addario's memoir It's What I Do: A Photographer's Life of Love and War.
Bidders including Working Title and The Weinstein Company have apparently been fighting for the novel's rights after an excerpt was featured in The New York Times Magazine.
Addario, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, shares her experiences from within Afghanistan after 9/11 in the memoir.
The journalist looks into how Afghans suffered during moments such as the Taliban regime and the Iraqi War, and also details the time she was kidnapped by pro-Gaddafi forces.
Warner Bros has also lined up Andrew Lazar to produce the movie alongside Spielberg, should it secure the rights.
