Sony is posting weekly Internet "trailers" for its upcoming computer-generated Final Fantasy in which realistic human figures are featured for the first time.
The Web site currently reveals how seemingly individual strands of human hair were created for the heads of digitized actors.
Reporting on the studios' interest in finding ever more sophisticated ways to create human beings on computers, the Fort Worth Star Telegraph commented today (Monday). "While no one is likely to mistake them for living, breathing human beings, they are the most convincing facsimiles anyone has come up with yet. And even greater advances are promised before the film's release."
