Daryl Hannah says she wants to give up acting.
The 42-year-old told German magazine Gala: "I have to go from one appointment to the next, put in an appearance everywhere, constantly meet new people at film premieres - it's not my thing."
Hannah, who stars alongside Uma Thurman in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, said she wanted to just produce, write screenplays and direct in the future.
"My place is behind the camera," she added. "It takes me an incredible amount of effort to act. It means much more to me when I can make my own films and be rewarded for it."
When asked why she had stayed in the acting business for so long, she replied: "Everyone does things at their own pace. Sometimes it takes you a while before you realise that something is not right for you."
