bridget Jones's Diary (2001) star Renée Zellweger is set to join CATHERINE ZETA JONES in the big-screen version of the hit musical CHICAGO.
The long-awaited movie, which has had the likes of MADONNA, GOLDIE HAWN, GWYNETH PALTROW and CHARLIZE THERON all linked to it, is now thought to have Welsh star Zeta Jones pencilled in as one of the female leads after she convinced MIRAMAX boss HARVEY WEINSTEIN that she could sing.
And now Texan-born Zellweger is being tipped to join Zeta Jones when the movie starts filming. In the running for the male lead roles are Oscar-winning actors KEVIN SPACEY and RUSSELL CROWE. (LE/WNTST/PDD)
