The pressure of keeping a stiff upper lip was getting to NICOLE KIDMAN at Tuesday night's (15MAY01) Los Angeles premiere of MOULIN ROUGE (2001).
Director BAZ LUHRMANN came to the aid of his leading lady with a stiff MARGARITA. Kidman was joined by fellow Australian KYLIE MINOGUE at the much anticipated premiere and admitted that the strain of constant questions regarding her love life was getting to her.
But excited by the prospect flying back to Australia yesterday (16MAY01), Kidman said that she was determined to keep herself together for one last night. She admitted, "It's getting hard, I'm really tired. Baz is keeping me upright. And I've had a margarita which helped. Luhrmann admitted, "I find margaritas are a very useful tool when it comes to keeping my actors and actresses happy. " (SVD/WN/PDD)
