Hollywood director QUENTIN TARENTINO knew he'd hit the big time when he was offered blockbusters SPEED and MEN IN BLACK - and could turn them down.
The 37-year-old certainly never expected to get where he wanted to be after directing just two films, RESERVOIR DOGS and BAD LIEUTENANT. "It happened very quickly," he marvels. "I became an adjective sooner than I thought..."
And what Tarentino enjoys most about his speedy success isn't the many offers from production companies - it's the power. "The more success you have, the more power you have. I don't need to talk hot actors into my movie to get it made. That's true power."
