Margot Robbie's LuckyChap Entertainment continues to develop the futuristic live-action feature "Tank Girl", for director Miles Joris-Peyrafitte, based on the Dark Horse 1988 Brit comic book series, created by Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett.
When you think about it, this really shouldn't come as a surprise, after playing Harley Quinn in the DC films, it's not hard to imagine her playing another wild and crazy character like Tank Girl. The news came from Tank Girl creator Alan Martin, who took to Twitter to announce that Robbie and her team had optioned the rights to the character.
Created by Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett, Tank Girl is a comic book antihero with a distinctly punk-rock style (including, dyed hair and partly-shaven head) and demeanor who lives in a tank, and makes a living working one-off jobs in a post-apocalyptic world.
Robbie's LuckyChap Entertainment is noted for the features, "I, Tonya", "Terminal", "Promising Young Woman", "Dollface", "Barbie", plus "Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)".
