Paramount Pictures and comedian Kevin Hart have teamed up to develop a remake of the iconic Bill Murray 1988 comedy "Scrooged" with Hart producing and potentially starring.
The 1988 Christmas movie originally starred Bill Murray and was directed by Richard Donner. Murray portraying Frank Cross, a cynical and selfish TV executive who finds himself visited by a succession of ghosts on Christmas Eve, intent on helping him to regain his Christmas spirit.
Only a moderate box office hit, it quickly became a cult video smash and a regular Christmas staple.
Hart is producing the Scrooged remake through his Hartbeat Productions company, and the search is now underway for a writer to pen the script.
